Melbourne comhaltas committee and members would like to extend their sincere sympathy to the Ducey family in Perth on the death of their family member and Comhaltas member, Maura. We have fond memories of Maura dancing with us all at the Port Fairy Ceili Mors. God rest her soul.
The committee of Melbourne Comhaltas is very happy to announce a great weekend was had by all who attended the music and dance workshops at the weekend. The atmosphere was hot in the Quiet Man on Friday where we all gathered for a ‘meet and greet’ night and continued on right through the weekend. Hearty thanks to Mary Clancy and her daughter Mary Kate for their expertise in set dancing and the humour which they brought into each set.
We had approximately 100 people in total pass through the door over the weekend and everyone left feeling on top of the world. Photos will follow soon. Thanks to all who came and supported this ‘so much looked-forward-to’ event!!
